Phil Lesh & Associates closed out their 9 present run at The Capitol Theatre Halloween night time with a plethora of covers and Grateful Lifeless favorites. The lineup for this stretch included Lesh, Nicki Bluhm, Larry Campbell, Griffin Goldsmith, Taylor Goldsmith, Grahame Lesh, Trevor Menear, Lee Pardini, M.C. Taylor and Teresa Williams
The band opened with a rocking “Taking part in In The Band” adopted by “Tennessee Jed” earlier than ending out the primary set with a canopy of Blind Willie Johnson’s “Maintain Your Lamp Trimmed and Burning.”
The exhibits have been a longtime coming as Phil was initially set to rejoice his eightieth birthday with a set of March 2020 concert events at The Capitol Theatre. (The exhibits have been canceled as a result of COVID-19 pandemic.)
The second set didn’t disappoint when the band returned to the stage for a cool efficiency of “Scarlet Begonias” adopted by Jerry Garcia’s “Sugaree,” earlier than wrapping with Ellie Greenwich’s “River Deep, Mountain Excessive.”
The encore kicked off with “Werewolves Of London” which regularly graces Lifeless-related setlists this time of the 12 months, earlier than ending the present with “Ripple.”
